Charis Anderson, the daughter of Edward and Kathy Anderson Jr. of Ames, was united in marriage to Nathan Fowler, the son of Joseph and Audrey Fowler on July 24.
The bride is the granddaughter of Edward and Geraldine Anderson and Mary Blake. The bridegroom is the grandson of Ocia and Marilyn Fowler and Patricia Peterson.
The ceremony took place at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, Fort Plain. The Rev. Kenneth J. Swain officiated.

The bride was escorted by her father.
The bridal attendants were Bridget, Hillary and Heidi Anderson, sisters of the bride, and Allison Bowden, Kamille Logan and Sonni Pank. The flower girl was Olivia Wofford, cousin of the bride.
The best man was Buck Anderson, brother of the bride. The groomsmen were Tyson, Dontay and Caleb Fowler, brothers of the bridegroom, and Joshua Hodge and Joseph DiVisconti II. The ringbearer was Isaiah Logan, cousin of the bridegroom.
A reception for approximately 160 guests followed the ceremony at the Arkell Museum and Art Gallery in Canajoharie.
The bride is a 2005 graduate of Canajoharie High School and a 2008 graduate of The College of St. Rose in Albany. She is starting her first year of teaching first grade at Cherry Valley-Springfield Central School.
The bridegroom is a 2001 graduate of Canajoharie High School and a 2009 graduate of The College of St. Rose. He is a substitute teacher and modified football and basketball coach.
The couple resides in Palatine Bridge.
