GLOVERSVILLE - The Ida L. McGinnis Club met Tuesday. Doris Dingman played a hymn. Angie Ruggeri led devotions and "The Lord's Prayer."
Arla Fonda, president, opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and in singing "America." The reports of the secretary and treasurer were accepted as read. Jeanette Fonda sent cards to shut-ins.
The next Turning Stone trip will be Oct. 19. If interested, call Jeannie McDuffie at 725-8396.
June Parker was welcomed as a new member.
Under new business, there are several upcoming events. On Tuesday, there is a white elephant sale. On Oct. 26, there will be a Halloween party with the Hales Creek group coming to entertain.
The club's Christmas party will be Dec. 14 at Harold's. The grag bag will be a non-perishable item for the food pantry.
On Oct. 12, Art Simonds will speak about conserving water.
The refreshment committee for October will be Arla Fonda, Jeanette Fonda and Connie Simonds.
The meeting was adjourned.
