Patricia A. Abare of Ohio, Herkimer County, formerly of Johnstown, was united in marriage to Jerry R. Hart, also of Ohio, at 2:30 p.m. Aug. 28.
The ceremony took place in Ohio. Mary Greene officiated.
The bride was escorted by William Hart, brother of the bridegroom.

The maid of honor was Tina Jock, the daughter of the bride. The bridal attendants: were Marjorie Tyler of Gloversville, Tammy Moore and Diana Marshall, both of Johnstown, daughters of the bride; Kim Hart, daughter of the bridegroom; Tracey Palmer, niece of the bride; and Kaitlyn Moore, grandaughter of the bride, all from New York. The miniature bride was Autumn Munise Ryan, great-grandaughter of the bride. The flower girl was Ateema Dumas, great-grandaughter of the bride.
The best man was Jerry Hart Jr., son of the bridegroom. The groomsmen were: Alec Hart, grandson of the bridegroom; Bill Iman, John Berry, Scott Burritt, Kevin Davis and Jeff Gipe, all from New York. The ushers were Jimmy Marshall, grandson of the bride; and Aaron Hart and Bryce Hart, both grandsons of the bridegroom. The miniature bridegroom was Alec Yager, great-grandson of the bride. The ringbearer was Logan Hart, grandson of the bridegroom.
A reception for more than 100 guests immediately followed in Ohio.
The bridegroom is the assistant chief of the Ohio Volunteer Fire Department.
