BROADALBIN - The Broadalbin Senior Citizens Club met Sept. 1, with 45 people in attendance. A prayer was done by Kay Leggett, chaplain. "The Lord's Prayer" and the Pledge of Allegiance were recited.
The club members had the Office for the Aging luncheon. The meeting took place with President Joe McDonald presiding.
The reports of Marge Gundersen, secretary, and Phil Guadagno, treasurer were accepted as read.
Donna Chambers, representative from the Broadalbin seniors to the OFA Advisory Council, read a few statistics from June 1 to July 31 regarding meals and OFA services provided.
A discussion took place as to where to have the club's annual Christmas party. Some menus were read by Chambers, activities chairwoman. Dorothy Putman, Jean Montgomery and Betty Cuckoo also are on the committee. The committee will give out information at Wednesday's meeting.
Vivian Tillison was the 50-50 winner.
The group sang "Happy Birthday" to those with birthdays in August and September.
The extra prize winners were Marion Chase, McDonald, Mary Lou Wilcox, Jean Sawyer and Fred Wilcox.
At the next meeting Wednesday, the OFA lunch will be at noon. The meeting will follow at 12:30 p.m. There will be no program because some members will be on a cruise; it will be social time. Sue Orcutt from OFA will be present. Those interested in the OFA luncheon can make reservations in advance.
