Danielle Nichole Niemir, the daughter Kevin and Wendy Niemir of Fort Johnson, was united in marriage to Jonathan Vincent DeSantis, the son of Frank and Paula DeSantis of Gloversville, on Sept. 12, 2009.
The ceremony took place at The Woods Inn in Inlet, Hamilton County. Gloversville City Judge Vincent DeSantis, uncle of the bridegroom, officiated.
The bride was escorted by her father.

The matron of honor was Tricia Leone of Syracuse. The maid of honor was Ashley Hassfurter of Amsterdam. The bridal attendants were: Alyssa Armenio of Long Island, cousin; Paula Krone, Pamela Kopec and Jennifer Keyes, all of Amsterdam. The junior bridesmaid was Katie Niemir of Long Island, cousin. The flower girl was Jennifer DeSantis of Loudonville, Albany County, niece of the bridegroom.
The best man was Michael DeSantis of Montclair, N.J., brother of the bridegroom. The ushers were: Jason DeSantis of Loudonville and Frank DeSantis Jr. of Syracuse, both brothers of the bridegroom; Kevin Niemir of Fort Johnson, brother of the bride; Michael Young of Syracuse, Brandon Elmendorf and Dane Luey, both of Gloversville.
A reception took place at The Woods Inn.
A wedding trip took place in Jamaica. The couple resides in Syracuse.
The bride is a registered nurse at the University Hospital Emergency Room, Syracuse.
The bridegroom received an associate's degree in forest technology at Paul Smith's College and a bachelor's degree in forest management from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry, Syracuse. He is a forestry technician at the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, Division of Lands and Forests.
