MAYFIELD - Cotton candy, carnival rides and clowns will be part of the 34th annual Bannertown Fair, which kicks off Wednesday and culminates Saturday with the Bannertown Parade.
Grand marshal Billy Verklier will lead the annual parade at noon.
On Wednesday, entertainment will include music by Steel Heart, a Zen Do Kai karate demonstration, Kids Karaoke and the Mayfield Idol contest, hosted by Nick Anker.
A horseshoe tournament will follow Thursday, and music will be provided by All Fired Up.
Friday will include music by Country Backtracks and a live remote broadcast on WIZR 930 AM with host Rick Morrison between 5 and 6 p.m followed at 7 p.m. with a "jaws of life" demonstration.
Attractions on Saturday include a medical flight set-down at 2 p.m., a live remote on WIZR, an Elvis impersonator at 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. and music by Who Dun It and Boothill. A fireworks show will take place at 10 p.m.
Face-painting, Willy the Clown, balloons, Stewart's ice cream and a shuttle to the fairgrounds are planned each day.
The fair will run Wednesday and Thursday from 6 to 10 p.m., Friday from 6 to 11 p.m. and Saturday from 1 to 11 p.m., with the Bannertown Parade starting at noon.
