50-55 Plus Club hosts tea party

GLOVERSVILLE - The following is a list of events for the Gloversville 50-55 Plus Club, which has its Monday meetings at the Senior Citizens Service Center of Gloversville & Fulton County. The meetings will be at 1 p.m. unless otherwise listed below.

The club had a pizza party Monday sponsored by the Outreach Program, headed by Mario Trippoda, with 53 members in attendance. Members brought items for the food pantry.

On Monday, there will be an 80 plus tea and dessert party for all members, honoring the 80 plus members. Carol Coon, the chairwoman, and her committee - Elaine Maxwell, Carol Visconti, Betty Fancher, Angie Crocetta, Patricia Boles and Beverly DeChiro - will host the event.

On Aug. 2, there will be a social meeting for a celebration of members who have birthdays in August.

On Aug. 9, the members who will be running for election for 2010-11 will be announced.

On Aug. 16, the regular meeting will be conducted. The nominations from the floor of members who would like to run for an office for 2010-11 will take place.

On Aug. 23, at the meeting, the elections will take place for the new officers for 2010-11. The new officers will be announced.

On Aug. 30, a meeting will take place.

The August kitchen committee will be Annamarie Hansel, Bernie Henderson and Philomena Carbona.
