Thomas M. and Edna Eagan of Johnstown recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary at a family gathering in Broadalbin at the home of their son, Gary Eagan.
The former Edna Maurice and Thomas Eagan were married June 29, 1940, at St. Frances de Sales Church, Gloversville.
Edna Eagan retired from Knox Gelatin in 1975 after 20 years of service.

Thomas Eagan retired from the General Electric Co. in 1980 after working 27 years.
The couple has three grandchildren, Thomas and Mark Eagan and Mary Riley; and seven great-grandchildren, Eliza Carson and Grayson Eagan of Galway, Saratoga County, Owen Addison and Eli Eagan of Columbus, Ohio and Kendall Riley of Broadalbin.
