Couple celebrates wedding anniversary

Bennie and Dolores Lamphear of Broadalbin recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at the Fishhouse Community Center, Broadalbin. There were over 100 guests who attended from the surrounding area. The celebration was hosted by their children, Regina (William) Pepper and Earl Lamphear of Broadalbin, Tammy (Clayton) Lawson and Wayne Lamphear of Otego, Otsego County, David Lamphear of Speculator, and Irving Lamphear of Troy.

The couple married March 5, 1960, at the Northampton United Methodist Church at Fish House, Broadalbin.

Bennie Lamphear is the owner of Dave's Electric, Broadalbin. He enjoys fishing and camping. Dolores Lamphear enjoys art and music. They both enjoy spending time with their family.

They have seven grandchildren: William (Crystal) Pepper Jr., Holly and Brett Pepper; Ruth, Clayton, Elizabeth and Sylvia Lawson.
