JOHNSTOWN - The 50 Plus Club, housed at the Shirley J. Luck Senior Citizens Center, will celebrate National Health and Fitness Week at the center with a nature walk on the Rail Trail and a healthy lunch on Wednesday. There will be fitness and health related door prizes.

On Thursday, there will be a candlelight memorial service and covered dish dinner at 5 p.m. Members will bring a dish to pass and the entree will be provided by the club. The Rev. Brian Dykema will officiate the prayer service.

Col. Barbara Peterson, a former Johnstown resident and retired 30-year Air Force medalist, will share with guests her experiences on a medical mission in West Africa last year.

On June 6, at 1 p.m. a lemon day is scheduled as a Social Sunday event at the center. There will be lemon-themed food and desserts, along with raffles, prizes and games. Reservations are required by June 2.
