Elizabeth Jarvis, a resident of the Nathan Littauer Hospital Nursing?Home, recently celebrated her 100th birthday.
Jarvis started working at the age of 16 and retired at 86. She worked for many glove shops, a news release said.
Jarvis also bought 17 or 18 houses, fixed them and sold them, the release said.

Elizabeth Jarvis celebrated her 100th birthday at the Nathan Littauer Hospital Nursing Home with family and friends on April 16.
She lived on her own until she was 99.
Jarvis has one son, two grandsons, four great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.?She also has several nieces and nephews.
