Tribes Hill Iroquois Seniors plan meeting

TRIBES HILL - The Tribes Hill Iroquois Seniors had their meeting Feb. 18 with President Barbara Furman presiding.

Gen Polinski, assistant chaplain, led in "The Lord's Prayer" and Pledge of Allegiance followed by a reading, "A Caring Thought."

Furman welcomed back Winnie Wozniak, Helen Dufel and Bob Montenaro.

Doris Schafer, secretary, read the minutes of the last meeting and Barbara Lampkin, treasurer, gave the financial report.

The Montgomery County Senior Council meeting was reported by Furman.

Lampkin, trip co-chairman, reported plans for a schedule of upcoming trips is continuing.

Gen Polenski, sunshine chairman, reported on cards sent. The sick and shut-in lists were updated.

Dolores Fitzdam, social chairwoman, said signup for the March 18 St. Patrick's Day celebration will begin next week.

The meeting adjourned with closing prayer and the blessing led by Polinski.

Following the meeting, a Valentine's Day mystery luncheon took place. Homemade chili, filled sandwiches with all the trimmings and dessert were served.

The committee members were MaryEllen Lewek, Harriet Zurlo, Gene Hojohn, Jean Angus and Fitzdam. Bingo followed with Montenaro as the caller.
