Jennie Ann Crawley, the daughter of Julie and William R. Crawley Sr. of Hillsborough, N.C., was united in marriage to Gregory John Ogden II, the son of Jacqueline and Gregory J. Ogden I of Mayfield, at 4 p.m. Aug. 8, 2009.
The ceremony took place surfside in Atlantic Beach, N.C. Kati Jo Ogden, sister of the bridegroom, officiated.
The bride was escorted by her parents.

The maid of honor was Jessica Taborsky of Brooklyn, Kings County. The bridal attendants were Stephanie Crawley of Hillsborough and Michelle and MacKenzie Perkins of Cedar Grove, N.C. The shell girl was MacKenzie Webber of Hurdle Mills, N.C., cousin of the bride.
The best man was Greg Ogden, father of the bridegroom. The groomsmen were: Johnny LaVada of Mayfield, cousin of the bridegroom; William Crawley Jr. of Hillsborough, brother of the bride; and Chase Perkins of Cedar Grove. The usher was Brian Towne of Gloversville.
A conch shell was blown by Towne to announce the arrival of the bride. The register attendants were Jae Dee LaVada and Christana Pulley. The program attendants were Brianna Fitchett, Jennie LaVada, Jada Dunn and Josie LaVada.
A reception, hosted by the bride's parents, followed the ceremony at Bogue Shores, Atlantic Beach. The bridegroom's parents hosted a reception on Nov. 28, 2009, at the Concordia Club in Gloversville.
On the eve of the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was held at Bogue Shores by the bridegroom's parents.
A wedding trip took place in St. Lucia. The couple resides in Hillsborough.
The 2009 pre-nuptial events included: April 11, a Jack and Jill green back open house was given by Jackie Ogden in Mayfield at her home; June 3, a bridal shower took place at the Merrick-Moore Elementary School, hosted by the kindergarten team; July 12, a bridal shower was given by Marcia and Caitlin Compton at their home in Hurdle Mills.
The bride, who is the granddaughter of Beverly and Clifford Schrock of Elm City, N.C., and Mary Frances and Royce Crawley of Wilson, N.C., graduated from Orange High School and graduated with honors from Barton College, both in North Carolina, with a bachelor's degree in elementary education. She is employed by Merrick-Moore Elementary School, Durham, N.C., as a kindergarten teacher.
The bridegroom, who is the grandson of Orletta and John LaVada and Alfred Ogden, all of Mayfield, and Arlene and Richard Ippoliti of New Port Richey, Fla., graduated from Mayfield High School, attended Fulton-Montgomery Community College and Clinton Community College and has completed the electrician apprenticeship program at Durham Technical Community College. He is employed by Bryant-Durham Electric, in Durham, N.C., as a journeyman electrician.
