Heather Sue Bozek, the daughter of Peter and Elaine Bozek of Broadalbin and Theresa Daury of Gloversville, was united in marriage to Joseph David Mello, the son of David and Judith Mello of West Galway on Oct. 10, 2009.

The ceremony took place at St. Ann's Episcopal Church. The Rev. Christopher Smith officiated.

The bride was escorted by her father.

The matron of honor was Sue Beck of Amsterdam, aunt of the bride. The bridal attendants were Dorothy Laguzza of New York City and Sonya Etkin of Broadalbin, both sisters of the bridegroom.

The best man was Nathan Donaleski of Rome. The ushers were: Jacob and Zachary Beck, both of Amsterdam; Christian Beck of League City, Texas, all cousins of the bride; and Thomas Michaels of Middle Grove, Saratoga County. The ringbearer was Johnathon Funk of Broadalbin, godson of the bride.

A reception took place at the Crystal Ristorante.

A wedding trip took place in Vermont. The couple resides in Gloversville.

The bride is a 2001 graduate of Mayfield High School, a 2005 graduate of the College of St. Rose and a 2008 graduate of Walden University. She is employed as a fifth-grade teacher in the Greater Amsterdam School District.

The bridegroom is a 2001 graduate of Galway High School, a 2005 and 2007 graduate of the State University of New York at Plattsburgh. He is a fourth-grade special education teacher in the Greater Amsterdam School District.
