Erika Marie Ratajczak, the daughter of Darlene and Raymond J. Ratajczak Jr. of Broadalbin, was united in marriage to Brandon David Holland, the son of Jude Holland of Buffalo and David Holland of Williamsville, Erie County, at 2 p.m. Oct. 10, 2009.

The ceremony took place at St. Joseph's Church, Broadalbin. The Rev. Thomas Morrette officiated.

The bride was escorted by her father.

The maid of honor was Rebecca Guernsey of Fredericksburgh, Va. The bridal attendants were Heather Edinger of Buffalo, Tammy Allen of Broadalbin, cousin of the bride; and Jennifer Ratajczak of Virginia Beach, Va. The flower girl was Abigail Marie Auty of Monroe, Orange County, cousin of the bride.

The best man was Vincent Holland of Clearwater, Fla., brother of the bridegroom. The ushers were Brian Biro of Hornell, Steuben County, Michael Forpahl of Kenmore, Erie County, Raymond Ratajczak III of Virginia Beach, Va., brother of the bride. The ringbearer was Sterling Auty III of Monroe, cousin of the bride.

A wedding reception for 130 guests took place at The Hall of Springs, Saratoga.

A wedding trip of two weeks took place on the islands of O'ahu, Maui and Kauai, Hawaii.

The couple resides in Virginia Beach, Va.

The bride received a bachelor's degree in business from Buffalo State College. She is employed by Portfolio Recovery Associates.

The bridegroom received a master's degree in education from Buffalo State College. He is a third-grade teacher in a Virginia public school.
