Heather Gwozdz, the daughter of Victor and Sandra Gwozdz of Fonda, was united in marriage to Jamie Allen, the son of Maryann and David Walker of Elmira, Chemung County, and Robert and Tammy Allen of Albany, on Oct. 3, 2009.

The ceremony took place at St. Patrick's Lodge, Johnstown. Fulton County Surrogate Judge Richard Giardino officiated.

The bride was escorted by her father.

The matron of honor was Mindi Ennis of Boxborough, Mass. The bridal attendants were Jennifer Gwozdz of Fort Johnson, Alicia Ellis of Gloversville, Alexandria Allen and Molly Young, both of Mayfield.

The best man was Joshua Allen of Mayfield, son of the bridegroom. The ushers were Ronald Schur Jr. and Cameron Allen, both of Mayfield, Andrew Walters of Gloversville and Kenneth Luft Jr. of Galway.

The bride is employed as a senior caseworker at the Fulton County Department of Social Services.

The bridegroom is employed as a sergeant for the Johnstown Police Department.
