Amber Marie Smith, the daughter of Ivan and Susan Duesler and James Smith and Annette Hall, all of Ephratah, was united in marriage to Jason Paul Fredericks, the son of Earl and Marilyn Fredericks of Palatine Bridge, at 3 p.m. Sept. 26, 2009.
The ceremony took place at St. Anthony's Church, Johnstown. The Rev. Kenneth Swain officiated.
The bride was escorted by her father.

The matron of honor was Trisha Horan of Johnstown, sister.
The bridal attendants were: Erica Darling and Courtney Smith, both of Ephratah; Jen Jendras of Hartford, Conn.; Sherree Hoffman, sister of the bride, and Julie Oare, both of Johnstown; and Geri Lynn Fredericks of Sprakers, niece of the bridegroom.
The best man was Earl Fredericks Jr. of Sprakers, brother of the bridegroom.
The ushers were: Jimmy and John Smith, brothers of the bride, and Wayne Ropeter, cousin of the bridegroom, all of of Ephratah; Joe VanNostrand of Mayfield; Geoff Snyder of Scotia and Kirk Horan of Johnstown.
A reception for 230 guests took place in Pine Lake.
The wedding trip - a cruise - took place in Grand Turk and the Bahamas. The couple resides in Ephratah.
The bride is a 1996 graduate of Johnstown High School and a 2001 graduate of the State University of New York at Utica/Rome. She works at the Walmart Distribution Center, Johnstown.
The bridegroom is a 1995 graduate of Fort Plain High School. He is employed at the Walmart Distribution Center.
