CANAJOHARIE -The following is a list of events at the Arkell Center for January.
Daily activities: Cards, dominos and reading.
Monday to Friday - Noon, meals are provided by Meals of Montgomery. Reservations are required by noon the previous day.
Monday to Friday-10 a.m. to noon, winter indoor walking program.
Monday, Wednesday and Friday-10:15 to 11 a.m., senior's exercise program with Bob Smith.
Wednesday -3 to 4 p.m., gentle yoga with instructor Donna Williams Short.
Special events:
Thursday- 2 to 4 p.m. big band practice in the community room.
Friday and Jan. 22-1:30 p.m., public card party. The donation will be $2. There will be prizes and refreshments.
Friday and Jan. 22 and 29-2:45 p.m., Canajoharie Senior Citizens Club meetings.
Jan. 12-10 a.m., Canajoharie Senior Citizens Board of Directors meeting in the gallery.
Jan 15-12:30 p.m,. Canajoharie Senior Citizens Club covered dish luncheon including grab bags; 1:30 p.m.. a representative from the New York state Attorney General's Office will present a "Safe Seniors" program in the community room for all interested senior citizens and their families. The snow date for this program will be Jan. 29.
Jan. 19-11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the Montgomery County Public Health Department blood pressure clinic, sponsored by the Montgomery County Office for the Aging.
