Heather L. Lawyer, 41, of State Route 145, died Wednesday, December 30, 2009, at Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown following a long illness.
Born July 23, 1968, in Cobleskill, she was a daughter of Alvin and Marie (Balfe) Campbell, who both survive her.
Heather was a 1986 graduate of Middleburgh Central School and had attended Hudson Valley Community College.
She was employed as an insurance broker with The Hearn Agency of Canajoharie, and during the spring and summer weekends, she worked at the Barbers Farm.
Heather was a painter and an artist, along with taking pleasure in gardening flowers, golfing, bowling, and being a full-time soccer mom.
She is survived by her daughter, Calley Campbell Lawyer of Middleburgh; her parents, Alvin and Marie (Balfe) Campbell of Middleburgh; her sister, Colleen (Kenneth) Sullivan of Canajoharie; her brother, Scott Campbell of Denver, CO; and niece and two nephews, Mackenzie Sullivan, Kenneth Sullivan, Jr. and Alvin Joseph Sullivan, all of Canajoharie.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 4, 2010, at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, Main St., Middleburgh, with Father Thomas F. Holmes as celebrant. Friends are also invited to a period of visitation to be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 134 River St., Middleburgh. Spring interment will be in Middleburgh Cemetery.
