Marian Munise

Mrs. Marian Munise, 87, of Gloversville, passed away Friday with her loving family at her side. Born in Woodside, N.Y., on September 19, 1922, Mrs. Munise was the daughter of the late John and Anna Burns Dikeman. Educated in New York City schools, Marian met her husband Alfred while working at Western Electric. They were married September 1, 1945. He pre-deceased her in 2000.

A very loving and prayerful person, Marian was especially devoted to St. Jude and included everyone in her regular prayers. Her greatest joy was family. Her loving children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, were her life.

Survivors include her children: Janet (Benjamin) Stone of North Carolina, Lorraine (Lawrence) McMullen of Gloversville, Barbara (Raymond) Dalmata of Gloversville, Margaret Shepard of Albany, John Munise and Alfred Munise both of Gloversville. She is also survived by her brothers; James Dikeman of Flushing, Buddy Dikeman of New Jersey, Robert Dikeman of North Carolina and David Dikeman of New Port Richey, Fla.

Additional survivors include her nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Marian was pre-deceased by her sisters; Anna McGinnis and Clarice Hoverter a brother Frederick Dikeman and a son-in-law Jeffrey Shepard.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of her family.
