Literacy Volunteers of Fulton County and the Gloversville, Johnstown and Northville Public Libraries are are coordinating a raffle and book drive titled "Give the Gift of Reading."
The raffle and book drive began Dec. 7 and will run until Jan. 15, a news release said.
The raffle winners will receive a gift basket currently displayed at each library. Raffle tickets can be purchased at any of the libraries. Proceeds will go to Literacy Volunteers and the three libraries.
Books can be dropped off at the Gloversville, Johnstown and Northville Public Libraries or the Literacy Volunteers office at the Argersinger Building, 73 N. Main St., Suite 101, Gloversville.
The LVFC hours are Monday from noon to 7 p.m.; and Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Donated books will be displayed at the Literacy Volunteers of Fulton County Open House on Jan. 18 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the above address. Attendees can select a free book and purchase additional raffle tickets.
All remaining books will be returned to the respective libraries as donations from the community and Literacy Volunteers.
