JOHNSTOWN - A city woman arrested earlier this fall on prostitution charges pleaded guilty Friday in Fulton County Court to a felony charge of use of a child under the age of 17 for sexual performance and she will receive a state prison term.
Stacey Faville, 41, of 16 Leto Lane pleaded guilty before Judge Polly A. Hoye. Sentencing was adjourned until a later date, but she is expected to receive 2 1/3 to seven years in state prison. The sentence is in full satisfaction of previous charges against her. She also will be under the terms of a stay away order from the victim and will be registered as a sex offender in the state.
Faville was arrested Oct. 27 in Gloversville and charged with use of a child under the age of 17 for sexual performance, endangering the welfare of a child and third-degree sexual abuse.
Police said she knowingly and unlawfully induced a child younger than 17 into a sexual performance.
Faville had also been arrested Oct. 27 by state police at Fonda on a prostitution charge after an undercover state trooper posed as a potential client. Troopers said they received an anonymous tip that she was operating an online prostitution service.
Armed with that knowledge, state police said, they set up a meeting between Faville and an undercover trooper. The state police Computer Crime Unit and the state police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team also helped organize the rendezvous.
Once they arrived at her residence, troopers said they executed a search warrant and made the arrest.
