Lillian Hodlin Peters, 84, of East Fourth Ave. died Sunday, Nov. 29 at the Fulton County Residential Health Care Facility. Born April 24, 1925, in Pittsfield, Mass, she was the daughter of John and Emma Hodlin. She attended Gloversville schools. Lillian married the late Frank Peter, July 15, 1946, in Pownal, Vt.. He died March 6, 1981. She ran Peters Sandwich Shop in Johnstown with her husband, Frank, and her son, Jack, retiring in 1984. She was a former member of the PTA and the Rotary Auxiliary. She is survived by: two sons, Anthony Peters of Mayfield and John "Jack" Peters of Johnstown; and two grandchildren, Katie Alexander of Driggs, Idaho and Frank Peters of Mayfield. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Barter & Donnan Funeral Home, Johnstown, with the Dr. Rev. R.W. Williams officiating. Friends and family may call Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ferndale Cemetery, Johnstown. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
