Ann V. Ratajczak
Ann V. Ratajczak, 83, of Bergen, N.Y., and formerly of Broadalbin, died Sunday, November 15, 2009, at the Batavia Nursing Home.
She was born in Amsterdam on January 22, 1926, a daughter of Anthony and Agnes Wolf Zamaitis and was a graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School. Mrs. Ratajczak moved to Broadalbin in 1956 and lived there until moving to Bergen earlier this year.
She was employed as the program director for the Fulton County Office of the Aging for 15 years.
Mrs. Ratajczak was of the Catholic faith.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Broadalbin.
Ann was predeceased by: a granddaughter, Sandra Olander, who died in 2005.
Survivors include: her husband of 63 years, Stanley Ratajczak; two daughters, Cynthia (Lawrence) Reynolds of Bergen and Patricia (Michael) Kohlhagen of South Salem; six grandchildren, Michael (Bernie) Olander of Gates, Peter (Deana) Olander, Susan (Mark) Barber and Robert Reynolds, all of Bergen, and Elyssa and Alex Kohlhagen, both of South Salem; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Marion (Maurice) Wentz of Dade City, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Robert M. Halgas Funeral Home Inc., 38 West Main Street, Broadalbin, with Rev. Thomas Morrette officiating.
