Kathleen ‘Kathy’ Delmage

Kathleen "Kathy" Delmage died peacefully in her sleep on November 16, 2009, after a yearlong battle with cancer. Kathy was born in Amsterdam, N.Y., on August 11, 1950, to Ignatious and Anna (Jurica) Duchala. She graduated from Johnstown High School in 1968 and received her associate's degree from FMCC in 1970. She worked for many years in the medical field before becoming a homemaker. She loved animals and you couldn't tear her away from her crime shows. She is survived by: her daughter, Meredith Delmage and her daughter's boyfriend, Jay Kolodze of Loudon; her mother, Anna Duchala of Johnstown, N.Y,; her sister and brother-in-law, MaryAnn and Tony Russitano of Caroga Lake, N.Y.; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank and Debbie Duchala of North Kingstown, R.I., John and Cindy Duchala of Greenville, Del.; 6 nieces and nephews; and many cousins. She was predeceased by: her father, Ignatious Duchala in October 2003. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 21, at 12 p.m. at St. Anthony's Church in Johnstown, N.Y.
