Ford William Wolfe Sr.
Ford William Wolfe Sr., age 68 of Fonda, N.Y., passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2009. Mr. Wolfe was a longtime resident of Stepney and White Hills, Shelton, Conn. He was born on April 4, 1941, the son of the late William Emil Wolfe and Jean Allison Hay Wolfe. Mr. Wolfe was a self-employed sawmill owner-operator and logger. He hammered circle saws and troubleshot mills up until the time of his passing. He was a graduate of Newtown High School and the University of Connecticut. Survivors include: his wife, Edna Klein Wolfe; two brothers, John and Phillip Wolfe; three sisters, Donna Burr, Allison Brunson, and Laurel Provost; his children and grandchildren: daughter, Sherry L. Wolfe; grandsons, Robert E Wilmot Jr., Michael D. Horton Jr.; son, Ford W.Wolfe Jr; grandson, Ford W. Wolfe III; daughter, Karen J. Wolfe; grandson, Daniel R. Wolfe; son, Thomas R. Wolfe and granddaughter Caydence J. Wolfe, born Oct. 28 and many nieces and nephews. His burial is Nov. 14, 2009 at Monroe Cemetery, Rt.. 110 across from Whitney's golf course, Monroe Conn. at 12:30 p.m. Service will be held by Reverend Kurt J. Hurber. Immediately following, family and friends will be gathering at St. Peters Episcopal Church on the green in Monroe ,Conn.
