North defeats South in seniors game
By The Leader-HeraldCOLONIE- Pat Wilson of Salem kicked a 25-yard field goal and an extra point as the North defeated the South, 10-7, in the annual Section II Exceptional Seniors football game Tuesday at Christian Brothers Academy.
Mohonasen's Tahle Teabout scored on a 10-yard run in the first quarter for the North squad.
Teabout finished with 62 yards on 17 carries.
Gloversville quarterback Chad McCloskey completed nine of 17 passes for 96 yards for the North team.
Hudson quarterback Talib Barksdale completed a 5-yard touchdown pass to Schenectady's Steve Kent for the only score for the South team.
Fonda-Fultonville quarterback?Seth Hidde was 2-for-5 for 14 yards for the North team, while Fonda-Fultonville's Tyler Hall had two catches for 24 yards.
Several other area athletes were on the North team roster including Adam Biron (Johnstown), Kyle Hanson (Fonda-Fultonville), Justin?Salvione (Johnstown), Dylan Slater (Canajoharie), Corey Viscosi (Gloversville), Austin?Poulin?(Amsterdam), Connor Burns (Gloversville), Cody?Headwell (Fonda-Fultonville), Rudy Breyo (Broadalbin-Perth), Dylan?Schwed (Gloversville) and Jared VanVranken (Gloversville).
