Webster Fred Keck Jr.

Webster Fred Keck Jr., 72, formerly of Canajoharie, N.Y., died October 15, 2009, in a car accident in Chesapeake, Va.

Mr. Keck retired from Planters/Life Savers after 40 years of employment. He was a member of Holland Christian Church and a member of the Life Savers 25 year club.

Survivors include: his wife, Jean Keck; five children, Alan Keck of Dolgeville, N.Y., Robin Carson of Flippin, Ark., Dale Keck of Stratford, N.Y., Joseph Rachon of Caroga Lake, N.Y. and Carol Crews of Jacksonville, Fla.; six grandchildren, Edward DePietro of Suffolk, Va., Douglas Broat Jr. of Franklin, Va., Erik Coe of Minnesota, April, Kaycie and Alissa Crews of Jacksonville, Fla.; three great-grandchildren, Angelina and Marley DePietro of Suffolk, Va.; Madison Coe of Flippin, Ark.; one sister, Marlene Conrad of Greenwich, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2009, at 1 o'clock at the Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego Street, Canajoharie with the Rev. Joseph Bokel presiding. Relatives and friends are invited and may call one hour, prior to the service beginning at noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Suffolk Animal Shelter, 124 Forest Glen Dr., Suffolk, VA 23434 in the name of Web and his faithful dog Molly, also lost in the accident.
