FC Democrats endorse candidates

The Fulton County Democratic Committee met Thursday at Gloversville City Hall and endorsed the following candidates in Tuesday's general election:

William L. Owens, for representative in Congress, 23rd District.

Ray R. Hindes Jr., for councilman-at-large, Gloversville.

Marie Born, for supervisor, Ward 1, Gloversville.

Frank Lauria Jr., for supervisor, Ward 2, Gloversville.

Richard J. Ottalagano Sr., for supervisor, Ward 6, Gloversville.

Stuart D. Myzal, for mayor, Johnstown.

Francis P. Caraco, for councilman at large, Johnstown.

Timothy A. Korona, for councilman, Perth.

Walter W. Kowalczyk, for councilman, Perth.

David D. Dopp. for highway superintendent, Perth.

No candidate was endorsed in the race for mayor of Gloversville. There are four candidates in the race - Democrat Judy Marcoux, Republican JoAnn Clear, Conservative Dirk Myers and independent Dayton King.

Marcoux knocked Gloversville Mayor Tim Hughes out of the race with a win in the Democratic primary.
