» Sacandaga Task Force for Senior LivingNORTHVILLE?- A regional forum on senior living will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 10 at the BCON building at the corner of Bridge Street and North Main Street.
Assemblywoman Teresa Sayward and the Sacandaga Task Force for Senior Living are the co-sponsors of the event. The purpose of the forum is to engage state, regional and local community leaders in a discussion about accommodating the needs of the growing number of seniors in the Sacandaga region.
Among the guests and speakers will be Michael Burgess, director of state Office for the Aging; Vera Prosper and John Cochran, OFA representatives; and Susan Hunter, senior research associate at the IDEA Center of the State University of New York at Buffalo.
Others scheduled to participate in a panel include Cindy Harrington, community relations director for the Saratoga Springs Home Instead Senior Care franchise; and Andrea Fettinger, director of the Fulton County Office for Aging.
The keynote speaker, Dr. Susan Hunter, is a medical anthropologist, demographer, planner and public health expert. She will describe the demographic changes in the Adirondacks.

An excellent place for senior housing would be where the village maintainence bldg is on N. 3rd st.If the village ever decides to move into the extremely old buildings they bought on rt. 30. A perfect example of someones agenda. Why replace an old facility with one equally as old?
