Vivian G. Barclay

Vivian G. Barclay, 76, of 10 Court St., Johnstown, N.Y., passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2009, at Bassett Hospital, Cooperstown, N.Y. She was born March 17, 1933, in Gloversville, N.Y., the daughter of Frederick and Estella G. Fonda Barclay. She was a 1952 graduate of Gloversville High School and was first employed by Woolworths Store and then as a child caseworker for the county. She last worked as an assemblyperson for the former Geraldine Novelty Co. of Gloversville. Miss Barclay was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by: her sister, Evelyn Edwards of Johnstown; two nieces, Barbara Seeley and Connie Rasbach; and six nephews, Steven Sturm, David Seeley, Martin Seeley, Larry Boyd, David Boyd and Robert Boyd. She is also survived by four great-nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Ehle Funeral Home, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville, N.Y.
