Eugene McDonald, a resident of the St. Johnsville Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, was united in marriage to his longtime girlfriend, Shirley VanAvery of Fonda, on Oct. 9.

The ceremony took place in the activities department. The Rev. Dr. R.W. Williams officiated.

The best man and maid of honor were Bob Otty and Lisa Hubbard, both employees of the facility.

A small reception followed the ceremony with residents and employees attending the celebration.
