Pastors Philip and Connie Carey of Gloversville announce the engagement of their daughter, Kimberly Anne Carey, to Nelson Jerry Tyler Jr., the son of Nelson and Barbara Tyler Sr. of Charleston.

Carey is a high school graduate of Pensecola Christian Academy, Pensecola, Fla., and is attending Fulton-Montgomery Community College. She is employed at the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance.

Tyler is a high school graduate of the State University of New York and is the owner and operator of Millennium X-press Lube, Route 30. Amsterdam. He also is an active pre-paid legal associate.

A wedding is planned for 2010.
