AMSTERDAM - The Walter Elwood Museum will host two camps for children ages 3 and older Nov. 11.
The first will be titled "Nature Detectives" from 9 to 10:30 a.m. According to a news release, Mary Ann Delaney will show children plans and animal sights and sounds and children will have the opportunity to make a sketchbook and journal. Students will go outdoors if weather permits.
The second will be "Paper Weaving & Paper Fans" with Suzanna Van Schoonhoven Hunter.
Students will look at a variety of fans in the museum's collection, the release said, and students will learn to identify the variety of materials that can be used to create a fan. Students also will create their own fans.
Students can be dropped off as early as 8:30 a.m. and must be picked up by 12:30 p.m.
The camp will cost $12 per class per child or $20 for the day per child. All prices include supplies.
