Police:?Woman held while being slapped

POSTED: October 23, 2009

ST. JOHNSVILLE - A man forcibly held a 66-year old female's hands behind her back while a woman slapped her in the face, according to village police.

Police said the 66-year-old told them she had been arguing with Mandy M. Pomatto, 21, of 5 New St., and Patrick J. Burdick, 21, of 33 Columbia St., Apartment 5, Mohawk, on Tuesday when Burdick grabbed her hands and Pomatto began slapping her in the face.

The two were arrested at Pomatto's residence Tuesday. Pomatto was charged with third-degree menacing and second-degree harassment, and Burdick was charged with second-degree unlawful imprisonment.

Pomatto was sent to the Montgomery County Jail in lieu of $500 cash or $1,000 bond, and Burdick was released on an appearance ticket. He is scheduled to reappear in Village Court on Wednesday at 7 p.m., authorities said.
