Mrs. Sherly Lee Aubin, 71, of 561 Avery Road, Stratford, died Tuesday, October 20, 2009, in Ellis Hospital, Schenectady after a brief illness.

She was born on December 4, 1937, in Pottonsburg, Mo., the daughter of Jesse Lee and Maude (Meadows) Punneo and moved to San Diego with her family as a young girl where she attended school.

Her marriage to Ronald L. Aubin took place on October 26, 1963, in San Diego while he was stationed there in the service. They would have celebrated 46 years of marriage next week.

While residing in San Diego, Sherly was a cosmetologist.

The couple first moved from San Diego in 1964 to Virginia and then to the Stratford area in 1970.

She is survived by: her husband, Ronald, of 45 years; her daughters, Bonnie Aubin retired USN of Stratford, Robyn Aubin of Stratford, Nancy Aubin of Salisbury Center; her sons, Richard Aubin U.S. Navy stationed in Georgia, David Aubin of Stratford; a brother, Kenneth Punneo of San Diego; her grandchildren, Ryan, Jordan Andrew, Cody, Kayleigh, Colton and Rhea, also several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by: her brother, Larry Punneo.

Calling hours are on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2009, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Roberts & Enea Funeral Home, 3 Faville Ave., Dolgeville. Burial will be in the DibbleTuttle Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
