ST. JOHNSVILLE - A man was arrested for stabbing a co-worker in the leg in retaliation for an earlier incident, according to state police.

Police said Edgar Lopez, 26, of St. Johnsville assaulted and stabbed his co-worker, Irving Flores, in the leg at Damin Farm, 8081 Route 5. Police said Lopez did so in retaliation for a fight between the two of them two weeks earlier.

Both lived on Damin Farm, according to police.

Police said Flores was sent to Little Falls Hospital for his leg injuries.

State police at Fonda charged Lopez with felony assault with intent to cause physical injury with a weapon.

He was sent to the Montgomery County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
