Blaine A. Reed

Blaine A. Reed, 67, died Wednesday, September 9, 2009, at Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville.

He was born in Cobleskill, NY, on February 19, 1942, the son of the late Irving and Thelma (Snyder) Reed.

Blaine enjoyed collecting mugs, swords, Indian art and watching television and movies. He loved to be with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include the mother of his eight children, Sandra (Liddon) Reed of Gloversville; seven sons and one daughter, Alvin Reed (Lisa) of Sparks, NV, John J.F.K. Reed of Ocala, FL, Tracy Reed of Florida, Dale Reed of Mayfield, Zara Reed of Bridgewater, NY, Joseph Reed of Gloversville, Wayne Reed of MD and Shane Reed (Lisa) of Gloversville; two sisters, Yvonne Sitterley of Palatine Bridge and Gail Swartz of KY; eighteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Blaine was predeceased by two brothers, Larry Reed and Irving Reed Jr.; and a sister, Maxine Johnson.
