H.S. Golf Roundup: B-P golf team defeats Gloversville

VAIL MILLS - Garrison DeRocker posted a 35 to lead the Broadalbin-Perth golf team to a 147-155 win over Gloversville in a Foothills Council match at Holland Meadows Golf Course.

Jacob Rounds added a 36 for the Patriots (4-4 overall, 3-2 Foothills), while Matt Carter and Connor Gifford both posted rounds of 38.

Chris LeFever paced Gloversville with a 36, while Kevin Johnston and Mike Marra each shot a 39. Chris Mosconi added a 41 for Gloversville (2-3 Foothills).

Johnstown 156, Scotia-Glenville 175

JOHNSTOWN - D.J. Ioele posted a 37 to lead Johnstown to a win over Scotia-Glenville at Fox Run Golf Club.

Cam Husain added a 48 for the Sir Bills (3-1 Foothills), while Richie Christman posted a 40.

Jeff Erwin and Mike Gifford each recorded rounds of 41 for Johnstown.

Mike Curcio paced Scotia-Glenville with a 39.

Western Athletic Conference

Mayfield 12 1/2, Fort Plain 2 1/2;

Mayfield 15, Northville 0

JOHNSTOWN - Doug Brown posted an even-par round of 36 to lead the Mayfield golf team to wins over Fort Plain and Northville.

Nick Petricca added a 47 for the Panthers and Andrew Haschytz posted a 49.

Nolan Reese led Fort Plain with a 46 and Mike Reid won his match 2-0.

Jake Dietrick paced Northville with a 48.

Spa Catholic 14 1/2, Fonda-Fultonville 1/2;

Fonda-Fultonville 15, Galway 0

GALWAY - Spencer Sautin earned medalist honors with a 34 for Saratoga Catholic in match played at Pioneer Hills.

Sautin, Billy McDonough, Brad Scammell, Casey Cohan and Cody Stevens all won their matches 2-0 for the Saints, while Greg Ronayne won his match with the Braves' James Snyder, 1 1/2-1/2.

Fonda-Fultonville salvaged a split on the day with a 15-0 win over Galway.

Mark Dietrick earned medalist honors for FFCS with a 41.

Dietrick, Clark Egelston, Joel Bargstedt, Brett Noonan, Tyler Handy and James Snyder all won their matches by 2-0 margins.
