Woman admits break-in
JOHNSTOWN - One of three co-defendants who state police said were involved in an early morning July 1 break-in at the Northville Laundromat pleaded guilty Thursday in Fulton County Court and faces prison time.
Mindy L. Vezeau, 22, of Shields Road, Edinburg, pleaded guilty before Judge Polly A. Hoye to one count of third-degree attempted burglary. Sentencing was adjourned until a later date, but she is expected to receive 1 1/2 to three years in state prison as a second felony offender.
State police arrested her - along with Brandon R. Coopey and Joshua S. Hodgson, both 28 and of Mayfield - on July 1. All three were charged with felony third-degree burglary and misdemeanor fifth-degree conspiracy.
Coopey forcefully entered the laundry and, along with Vezeau, was stealing from the change machine, police said. Both subjects fled and were picked up by Hodgson a short distance from the scene, state police said.
Fulton County sheriff's Deputy Wayne Peters - along with K-9 Blitz - tracked the suspects, who were apprehended in the village, state police said.
Cases against Coopey and Hodgson are pending.
