H.S. Golf Roundup: Carter helps B-P golfers to win over Gloversville

VAIL MILLS - Kyle Carter carded a 37 to lead Broadalbin-Perth to a 155-161 win over Gloversville in a non-league golf match at Holland Meadows Golf Course Monday.

Kyle Blodgett added a 38 for the Patriots, Garrison DeRocker posted a 39 and Jacob Rounds carded a 41.

Kevin Johnston paced Gloversville with a 38, while Mike Marra had a 39. Tanner Stewart posted a 40 and Chris LeFever had a 44 for Gloversville, which travels to Hales Mills Country Club to face Mayfield in a non-league contest today.

Western Athletic Conference

Fonda-Fultonville 12 1/2, Duanesburg 2 1/2

FORT JOHNSON- Mark Dietrick had the low round of 41 to lead Fonda-Fultonville to a 12 1/2-2 1/2 victory over Duanesburg in a Western Athletic Conference match at Rolling Hills Country Club.

Dietrick won his match 1 1/2-1/2.

Clark Egelston, Cody Unczur, Tyler Handy and Joel Bargstedt each won their matches 2-0.

Canajoharie 11 1/2, Schoharie 3 1/2

CANAJOHARIE - Taylor Macci registered an even-par round of 36 to lead Canajoharie to an 11 1/2-3 1/2 victory over Schoharie in a Western Athletic Conference match at Canajoharie Country Club Monday.

Sierra Frasier had a 43 for the Cougars and Josh Crouse added a 50. Creighton Jocelyn posted a 51, Andy Herron notched a 52 and Dakota Frasier had a 57.

Aaron Scofield paced Schoharie with a 37.

Evan Ottman had a 43 and Jacob Karker posted a 49.

Alex VanLuipen had a 63 for Schoharie, while Evan Tully posted a 68 and John Vanderwerken had a 75.

Berne-Knox-Westerlo 11, Mayfield 3

JOHNSTOWN - Doug Brown earned medalist honors with a 5-over par round of 40, but Mayfield dropped an 11-3 decision to Berne-Knox-Westerlo Monday in a Western Athletic Conference match at Hales Mills Country Club.

Nick Petricca added a 45 for the Panthers (0-1 WAC, 0-1 overall), while Robert Rose posted a 46.

Josh Rebear and Sean Flanagan paced Berne-Knox Westerlo with rounds of 42, while Ethan Sharp added a 44.
