Troopers say man urinated on supermarket display case

POSTED: August 18, 2009

AMSTERDAM - A "highly intoxicated" man urinated on a display case at Price Chopper early Friday morning, according to state police.

Police said Price Chopper Night Manager Jon E. Fralick witnessed Brian A. Place, 19, of Amsterdam urinate on the case and the floor at the store, at 141 Sanford Farms Plaza. They said Fralick told Place to wait at the front of the store while Fralick called the police.

When he returned, police said, Fralick saw Place running out the store's front door before falling down in the parking lot. He then left in a vehicle, the look of which Fralick described to police.

Amsterdam police found the vehicle and turned Place over to state police.

Place was arrested by police at 3:10 a.m. and charged with criminal mischief, public lewdness and disorderly conduct. He was issued an appearance ticket and is to return to Town Court at 7 p.m. Sept. 3.
