Ruth Mae Thompson Campbell

Ruth Mae Thompson Campbell, 80, formerly of St. Hwy 309, Bleecker, died Tuesday, August 4. Born August 8,1928, in Albany, N.Y., she was the daughter of James Madison and Mabel Morarie Thompson. Ruth was a clerk for the N.Y. State Motor Vehicle Dept. in Albany for several years, then she worked for Nichol's Dept. Store in Johnstown for 17 years. She was a member and Treasurer for the Bleecker Fish and Game Club. Ruth was married to the late Kenneth Campbell. She is survived by: two sons, Anthony Noble of Bleecker and James Noble of Bleecker; three brothers, Thomas Thompson of West Sand Lakes, Brian Pratt of Johnstown and Kerry Pratt of Johnstown. She was predeceased by brothers, James Noel, Glen, Charles Arthur and Richard Thompson; and sisters, Maxine Hershey, Evelyn Strange, Judith Ann Jones and Penny Daniels. There will be no Funeral services or Calling hours. Cremation will be in Vale Crematory, Schenectady. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or charity of one's choice. Arrangements are by the Barter & Donnan Funeral Home, 1 N. Melcher St., Johnstown.
