Marion VanArnam Mosher

Marion VanArnam Mosher of Northville, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2009 after reaching her 100th birthday on June 8th. Born in 1909, she was the daughter of Martha A. and Harry W. Van Arnam. She is survived by her son, Gordon "Rusty" Mosher and his wife Linda of Northville. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Cyndi Dean of Stanfordville, NY, and Tim Furman of Mayfield; a sister-in-law, Sara Sheehan of Durham, NC; and several wonderful nieces and nephews.

Marion was predeceased by her husband, Gordon, in 1962; her son, Lt. Harry Va Mosher (Vietnam) in 1967; and a grandson, Joseph Furman in 1996. Also predeceasing her were two brothers, George A. and H. Robert VanArnam; and a sister, Martha Va. Sauve.

Marion, Gordon and their family operated the Mosher Bros. Grocery Store in Northville for many years before retiring in 1965. She was a lifelong resident and will be remembered for her gentleness, thoughtfulness and her lovely spirit.

A celebration of Marion's life will be held on Saturday, August 1st at 1 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, Main Street, Northville, NY.

In her memory, contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Northville or to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Ave., Gloversville NY 12078. Arrangements are by the Northville Funeral Home. Condolences my be made to the family online at www.northvillefuneralservice.com.
