Colonials lose to Glens Falls, 33-25
By The Leader-HeraldGLENS FALLS - The Glove Cities Colonials slipped to 1-2 overall following a 33-25 loss to Glens Falls in a North American Football League contest Saturday at East Field.
"It was another tough one," Glove Cities coach Matt Capano said. "It was a back-and-forth game."
Glove Cities tied the game early in the fourth quarter when Justin Kastner threw a 33-yard touchdown pass to Jason Quinn.
Glens Falls scored the game-winning points with 7:46 to play when Ben Lane hauled in a 22-yard touchdown pass from Mike Leonbruno.
Leonbruno threw for 210 yards, completing 14 of 26 passes.
Zorry Williams rushed for 142 yards and two touchdowns for the Greenjackets, who improved to 3-0 with the win.
Kastner threw four touchdown passes for Glove Cities, completing 13 of 22 passes for 291 yards. Quinn caught three TD passes for 53, 40 and 33 yards, respectively. Quinn finished with six catches for 185 yards
Brian Baldwin caught a 40-yard touchdown pass for Glove Cities. He finished with three catches for 78 yards.
Chad Smith paced the Colonials ground game, rushing for 37 yards on 13 carries.
Lou Emden had a fumble recovery and Matt Tomaro added an interception for the Colonials.
Glove Cities returns home to face the Tri-County Tigers Saturday at Knox Field at 7:30 p.m.
