Johnstown band plans concert Friday
JOHNSTOWN?- The Johnstown Citizens Band will perform Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the Charles Jenner band shell in the park downtown.
Conducting the evening's performance will be Broadalbin-Perth High School Band Director Mike Calvello.
Selections for the concert will include the "Star Spangled Banner," "Nobles of theMystic Shrine" byJohn Philip Sousa, "Broadway Center Stage" byPaul Murtha, "Irish Tune from County Derry and Shepherd's Hey" by Percy Grainger, "Avantia" by David Shaffer, "Jump Swing Fever" byJohn Wasson, "The Phantom Regiment" byLeroy Anderson, "West Highlands Sojourn" byRobert Sheldon, "Big Band Classics" byEric Osterling, "Allied Honor March" byKarl L. King, "Highlights from The King and I" byRodgers and Hammerstein, and"The Liberty Bell March" bySousa.
In case of inclement weather, the concert will be canceled.
