Marjorie Louise Van Dellon, 88, passed away Wednesday, July 15, at Absolut Care of Eden Nursing Home in Eden, N.Y.

She was born August 29, 1920, in New Berlin, N.Y., the daughter of the late Ralph and Anna (Sherburne) Bassett.

Marjorie married Burton E. Van Dellon on July 24, 1943. He predeceased her September 23, 2003.

She loved to go bowling. However, she found her greatest joy when spending time with her family. Marjorie will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by: two daughters, Gail Burke (Robert) of Hamburg, N.Y. and Linda Johnson (Steve) of Oneonta; one son, Mark Van Dellon (Jacquelyn) of Webster, N.Y.; six grandchildren, Tracy Kocsis, Sean Burke, Zachary Johnson, Erik Johnson, Wendy Van Dellon and Peter Van Dellon; four great-grandchildren, Emiley Burke, Cailey Burke, Kyle Burke and Helen Kocsis; one sister, Glenadore Super of Oneonta; and one niece and one nephew.

Calling hours will be Monday, July 20, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville. A funeral service will be held Tuesday 10 a.m. at the funeral home with the Reverend Gene Kocsis presiding. Interment will be at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville.
