EPHRATAH - Rockwood-Garoga-Lassellsville Volunteer Fire Department Chief Mark Souza said the fire at a house on County Highway 119 began around 8 a.m. and rendered the home a total loss. Souza said firefighters were on the scene until about 12:30 p.m. He said the home's owner, Larry Eckler, does not use it as his primary residence. No one was injured in the blaze. The fire's cause was unknown as of Friday night. Volunteer fire departments from Ephratah,
Oppenheim and Hilltop also were at the scene.
