NORTHAMPTON - Three area people were arrested by state police in Mayfield on Wednesday in connection with an early morning break-in at the Northville Laundromat.
A state police news release said Brandon R. Coopey and Joshua S. Hodgson, both 28 and of Mayfield, and Mindy L. Vezeau, 22, of Edinburg were charged with felony third-degree burglary and misdemeanor fifth-degree conspiracy. The release said authorities received a call from a Northville resident who saw suspicious activity at the laundry about 3 a.m. Wednesday.
Troopers obtained a description of the suspects and the vehicle they used.
Fulton County sheriff's Deputy Wayne Peters - along with K-9 Blitz - tracked the suspects, who were apprehended in the village, state police said.
Coopey forcefully entered the laundry and, along with Vezeau, was stealing from the change machine, police said. Both subjects fled and were picked up by Hodgson a short distance from the scene, police said.
The three suspects were arraigned in Town Court and released.
