Amsterdam woman gets weekends in jail

FONDA - An Amsterdam woman was sentenced to four months of weekends in jail for stealing credit cards during a Jan. 26 incident in the town of Amsterdam.

Ginger D. York, 32, of 16 Edson St., was sentenced in Montgomery County Court on Monday to the weekend jail stays and five years of probation.

York previously pleaded guilty to fourth-degree grand larceny.

In other court cases Monday:

David C. Roe, 45, of 1539 Route 20, Sharon Springs, was sentenced to five years of probation requiring drug court and ordered to pay a $2,000 fine and a $350 surcharge. His driver's license was revoked.

Roe pleaded guilty to felony driving while intoxicated April 29 after a July 11 incident in Charleston.

Sean E. Gamble, 21, of 231 Division St., Amsterdam, was sentenced to five years of probation requiring drug court. He was ordered to pay $524 restitution and a $325 surcharge after an Aug. 16 incident in the town of Amsterdam in which he entered a residence and stole property.

He pleaded guilty Dec. 23 to fourth-degree grand larceny.
